Passionate about languages, comparing them, translating. I'm always eager to investigate, to learn new things, and search for explanations.
Qualifications
I live at a crossroads of languages, and it is easy to pick up words and practice in many different lingos here.
Education
Classic Humanities, and after that Biology, Agronomics... and Philosophy.
Experience
Made innumerous translations in the triangle Dutch-French-English, also simultaneous translations. I've been working in theatres for more than twenty years, translated a few theatre plays and am now a pivotal figure in an international social-artistisc co-operation between Belgium, South Africa, Peru, Slovakia and the United States.

Interests
One of my greatest passions is traveling, in Europe as well as in SE Asia and South America. Other interests, besides languages, include photography, nature and ecology, movies and theatre, novels and poetry. As an extension of my passion for language, I also developed quite some knowledge about computers and programs.
Working Tools
My spouse Touché Guimarães and I work together on translations and use Apple computers with OpenOffice.org.
